ATGATT, or 'Life insurance you can wear'

If you learned to ride a motorcycle in an english-speaking country, you may already know this acronym: ATGATT. It stands for 'All The Gear, All The Time', and it means that an accident doesn't care if that particular day is 'too hot to wear a helmet'.

For experimented motorbike riders, it is clear that not wearing your helmet, gloves, and some clothing to protect you from impacting the ground involuntarily and then skidding for meters over a less-than-smooth surface, is plain foolish.

Zero error margin

When you ask a stunt pilot in an airshow how the risk can be controlled, the maxim usually used is “make what is easy look difficult, and what is difficult…don’t do it.” However, the reality of airshows reveals to us that if in aviation there is no such thing as zero risk, this is even truer in the world of aerobatic exhibitions.
