Like every year after summer, CIVA has a very important job: examining the experiences and lessons learned from the variety of competitions that take place each year and introducing changes to the FAI Sporting Code - the rules that make up the foundation of our sport. They also receive proposals from delegates of different countries proposing the 2014 Known sequences - Powered and Glider - to be flown in the categories with international representation in the 2014 season competitions.
The 16th FAI World Glider Aerobatic Championship and the 4th FAI World Advanced Glider Championship were held July 18th - 27th, 2013 at the Oripää Aerodrome in Oripää, Finland.
With a total of 59 pilots - 15 in the Unlimited category and 40 in the Advanced category - the pilots competed across 3 flights: the Q, Free, 1st Unknown programs.
Between 2 and 5 of August Brazil has been the stage of the Brazilian National Aerobatic Championship, organized by Brazilian Aerial Acrobatics Committee (CBA) and by the Textor Air Show Team. This event was very important to the rebirth of others championships in Brazil which were suspended for a while due to problems referring to regulation transitions.
From July 08th to 13th. the German National Aerobatic Championship took place in Stendal. Due to best weather conditions all categories flew 4 programmes plus the Unlimited Final Freestyle for the unlimited category.
