Like every year after summer, CIVA has a very important job: examining the experiences and lessons learned from the variety of competitions that take place each year and introducing changes to the FAI Sporting Code - the rules that make up the foundation of our sport. They also receive proposals from delegates of different countries proposing the 2014 Known sequences - Powered and Glider - to be flown in the categories with international representation in the 2014 season competitions.

The deadline to submit Rules Proposals to CIVA was July 1, 2013; 15 countries submitted proposals.

The deadline to submit proposals for the 2014 Known sequences was August 1 for both powered and glider. Proposals were sent to a highly specialized and experienced team composed of pilots, trainers, and former world champions for evaluation of the sequences for flyability, suitability for the category, and safety.

Aerobatic pilots are invited to review these Known proposals, fly them, and submit recommendations to CIVA through their national delegates, allowing CIVA to benefit from their input before the vote in November and before choosing the 2014 Q sequences.

The new version of the Sporting Code with the incorporated changes and the finalized Knowns, having an effective date of January 1, 2014, will be concretized and published online in this website and at the official FAI website after the meeting held in Stockholm-Helsinki on November 8-10, 2013.
